The preserve

The cemetery is home to thousands of different plants and trees and hundreds of species of fauna. Park visitors frequently come across deer and fox while red-tailed hawk or owl fly overhead. The cemetery is the largest outdoor arboretum in the state.

The shade from deciduous and coniferous trees covers the landscape all summer long and serve as the nesting place for the hundreds of species.

This sanctuary in the city safely nurtures the life it houses. Though in the middle of the city, the hushed grandeur of this place make long walks, short hikes or afternoon picnics extraordinary. Areas 166, 117,118 and 119 run adjacent to the highline canal. These are promising areas to view our abundant wildlife.

Stop in at our offices and ask where we love to go best.
